I’m M.E. Pickett, but you can call me Mike. I’m the founder and publisher of Lost Colony Books. As far as credentials, go, I have a B.A. in English Literature from Brigham Young University (Go Cougars!), an M.A. in Publishing and Writing from Emerson College (Go…Lions…I think?), and a J.D. from the University of Texas (Hook ’em Horns!). The J.D. probably doesn’t help much when it comes to editing fiction (it might actually hurt), but it plays into what I do for a living and explains why I can’t publish more than one story per quarter.
